Chad Caruthers, Executive Director Chad joined ThreeSixty Journalism in June 2014, bringing both journalism and nonprofit leadership experience to the role. He is passionate about providing opportunities for underrepresented youth to connect with their education, communities and lives. Chad earned a master’s degree in education at the University of Minnesota and completed a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas. He hails from Webster Groves, Missouri.
Bao Vang, Engagement Manager Bao joined ThreeSixty Journalism in March 2015. She is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, where she studied broadcast journalism and Spanish. Since then, she worked as a morning anchor and multimedia journalist at WSAW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin, and as a reporter and weekend evening news anchor at WBAY-TV in Green Bay.
Bao is one of the first mainstream journalists of Hmong ethnicity in the country. She was born and raised near St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood then spent her teen years on the East Side of St. Paul, where she discovered her passion for storytelling while attending Harding High School.
Bao and her husband, Noah, have three children: Nina, Sean and Sasha.
Christina Holmgren, Program Manager Christina joined the ThreeSixty Journalism team in May 2018. Holmgren graduated from Hamline University with a B.A. in English and Secondary Education. While at Hamline, she spent several years as a reporter for the school newspaper, The Oracle. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Education Leadership and Administration at St. Thomas.
