Meet the 2024-2025 Inaugural Youth Leadership Board:
Aketzally Alvarado is a senior at FAIR High School in Minneapolis. Involved with ThreeSixty since 2023, she has been published in the Minnesota Star Tribune Minnesota Reformer and North News where she was an intern. They currently intern at KRSM Radio and the Minneapolis Youth Congress and are a junior coordinator for HYPE, a program in partnership with TPT. They also serve on the Achieve Twin Cities Youth Board. Aketzally enjoys painting, sculpting, and making collages in her spare time.
McCall Vickers is a senior at DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis. She became involved with ThreeSixty through the 2024 Multimedia Storytelling Institute. McCall’s stories have been published in multiple Minnesota outlets, including the Minnesota Star Tribune and WCCO TV. Beyond journalism, her hobbies are theater, stand up bass, and reading. McCall is passionate about advocating for others and creating an equitable society.
Anais Froberg-Martinez is a sophomore at Minnetonka High School. She’s still relatively new to ThreeSixty and to journalism in general, but she has been able to establish herself through her fierce commitment to each article she writes. Anais connects her interest in highly investigative political reporting with her mixed identity of White and Chinese-Panamanian, which inspires her to delve deeper into the human psyche concealed behind political dynamics. Alongside being an editor for the Sports & Wellness section in her school newspaper she also likes historical and vintage-related things.
Daphne Kleinschmit is a senior at Columbia Heights High School. A state-level speaker and captain of her school’s tennis team, she thrives in leadership roles. Daphne is passionate about building a community and driving positive change. Now in her third year with ThreeSixty Journalism, she uses her voice to tell impactful stories and amplify important issues. She also interns with the Northeaster, gaining hands-on experience in journalism. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, and laughing with her friends.
Alexis Aryeequaye is a junior at Rosemount High School in Apple Valley. A first-generation Ghanaian American journalist, she is passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices. Involved with ThreeSixty since 2023, Alexis has earned bylines in MinnPost and Sahan Journal and has received Scholastic Art and Writing Gold and Silver Keys in journalism. They enjoy poetry, ukulele, and theater.
Margarita Rosales Alarcon is a junior at Venture Academy in Minneapolis. Born and raised in Minnesota, she is passionate about her community and her Mexican roots. She has been involved with ThreeSixty for less than a year but has shown remarkable dedication for journalism, participating in the program’s Radio Camp with MPR News, Multimedia Storytelling Institute, and Op-Ed Writing Workshop, landing a byline in Sahan Journal. Although Margarita is new to journalism, she’s been able to find her voice and grow as a writer. She enjoys collecting all sorts of interesting objects but mostly vinyls and CDs.
Areeba Memon is a senior at Wayzata High School. She has participated in ThreeSixty’s Multimedia Storytelling Institute and has been published in the Minnesota Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, and MinnPost. She enjoys films, reading, and sewing.
