Jessica Violette, a senior at Osseo Senior High, is a 2013 graduate of ThreeSixty’s Intermediate Journalism Camp. If you could interview anyone (living) who would it be? I would love to interview Kellin Quinn. He’s the lead singer of my favorite band Sleeping With Sirens and I would love to know what he does to help come up with new songs. What do you like about writing? With writing you can be anyone you want and do anything you want. It’s also much easier for me to express myself through writing rather than doing it vocally. What issues are important to you? The benefits of being vegetarian and eating healthy. In my school, there are little to no options for vegetarians and vegans to eat for lunch. What is your ideal future career? I would love to do something with writing and English. Maybe a teacher. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? I would go to Ireland with my mom. We’re always talking about how one day we’re going to take a vacation there because of how beautiful the scenery is. What are your special talents? I like to think that one of my talents is my ability to help others. I’m a very good listener and I always try my best to help everyone. What do you do when you’re not at school or journalism camp? I’m often playing video games, such as League of Legends. What else do you think people should know about you? I love meeting new people — I’m just really shy, so it’s hard for me to make the first move!
