ThreeSixty students took a seat in the MPR News audio booths Thursday to voice their first reported stories at Radio Camp.
The day started with a lesson on reading for radio with Kerri Miller, the host of MPR News with Kerri Miller. Students read their scripts, and Miller gave them tips on their delivery.
Students learned about mixing, editing and voicing from camp leaders Arts and Culture Reporter Marianne Combs and Race, Class and Communities Editor Laura Yuen with support from MPR News Editor Eric Ringham and MPR Technical Director Veronica Rodriguez.
ThreeSixty campers also had lunch with MPR News Broadcast System Software Developer Rukia Sheikh-Mohamed, 2019 MPR News Eichtens fellows John Nguyen and Sophia Sura, and MPR News Fellow Tarkor Zehn.
The completed stories will be played in front of an audience of ThreeSixty supporters, MPR staff and families on Friday.
