Emma Carew Grovum, a social media and web editor at Foreign Policy, has been involved with ThreeSixty since 2002. She is also “nerd-nosh-expert-in-residence” for the Being Geek Chic blog, as well as chief creative and content strategist for ThreeSixty’s ProtectMyRep online project. A graduate of Eden Prairie High School and the University of Minnesota, Emma has also served as an intern at the StarTribune, Pioneer Press, Washington Post and the Chronicle of Higher Education. She is heavily involved in the Asian American Journalists Association and is co-chair of the programming committee for the 2013 and 2014 AAJA conventions in New York and Washington, D.C. As founder of the ThreeSixty alumni networking group on Facebook, Emma is extremely active with program outreach and digital networking. “ThreeSixty was my gateway into journalism, and I leapt with two feet and haven’t looked back since. I am so fortunate to have grown from 11 years of mentorship from the ThreeSixty community and know I can never fully repay that gift. I find it extraordinary to still be able to call some of my 2002 classmates friends, and I’m committed to always finding an answer for any ThreeSixty alum who comes to me with a question.” To view Emma’s portfolio, click here.
