Aamino Hirmoge

Aamino Hirmoge, a senior at Harding High School in St. Paul, is a 2013 graduate of ThreeSixty’s Intermediate Journalism Camp. A huge “Harry Potter” and My Chemical Romance fan, she contributed her first piece on artistic empowerment through YouTube and Kickstarter to our “Technology Issue.” Hometown: St. Paul Favorite author: J.K. Gerard Way, formerly of My Chemical Romance, because his band is so influential and helpful to its fans on so many levels. What do you like about writing? I get to put my own thoughts and my own ideas in my work. And I’m able to write my own story. What issues are important to you? Cyber-bullying and the war in Somalia. What is your ideal future career? Either a journalist or a film director. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? London, because the whole Harry Potter world is based there! Also, because it’s a very pretty city. What do you do when you’re not at school? I would be reading a book or walking around my neighborhood. What else do you think people should know about you?
