Top Honors: Digital Media Arts Camp

For the fourth consecutive year, ThreeSixty Journalism, Padilla and Center for Prevention at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota won a Minnesota Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Classics Award. This year, the trio earned top honors in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion category for their innovative summer 2020 Digital Media Arts Camp.

Digital Media Arts Camp focused on racism as a public health issue, and the collection of student-created stories includes audio, video, social media, graphic design/illustrations and interactive storytelling pieces. Students were supported by volunteers from the University of St. Thomas, Star TribuneBellmont Partners, City Pages, Report for America, Under-Told Stories, TPT and WCCO.

ThreeSixty, Center for Prevention, and Padilla will partner again in summer 2021 for TV Broadcast Camp. The camp and its stories will focus on health equity, specifically racism and its impact on health outcomes. The camp takes place July 26 – July 30 at St. Thomas.
